Very nice. Killer pedigree with tons of options for breeding too. What are you breeding her to first?

Go to Griswold Cattle Company and look at their sales catalog. Are call John. He could tell you what to use on her

Excellent heifer! I had a few bred similarly several years ago. All produced very well bred to various high percentage Maine-Anjou bulls.

Today I would recommend FR Magic 179X first, and my second choice would be GF Kadrabra.

I kinda like the Kadabra idea.  Be interesting to see how the hard whiskeys look this spring.  Id go with built right though if she were mine.  BTW ill take her off your hands if you want.

I saw a Hard Whiskey heifer the other day out of a Mossy Oak cow. If they all come out like that one....Watch out!!

Hard Whiskey is a Hard Drive X Irish Whiskey

Built Right is a Dream on son who makes some awesome simmi influenced and PB simmi females we absolutely love him on our cross bred and maine influenced cattle

Kadabra is an older bull not sure he is heifer safe but makes some awesome females.  He is out of Habenero i believe.

I wouldn't like to breed her to Irish whiskey or in the sire or dam column again since she is one. what would you recommend?

Could go any direction.  I would think she would produce a great calf out of: Bojo, Searsboro, Kemo Sabe, I-80, Monopoly Money.  JMO

The FIRST THING is to get a LIVE CALF. Then you can worry about the SECOND THING; which is what to breed her to to GET THE GOOD ONE. ;).  Just find a good calving ease bull. Do your research. Like I said go to Griswold Cattle Company's Web site. He knows more about Irish Whisky calves than any body.

I agree get that first calf on the ground and have her get up afterwards.

I would use an Angus bull.  Most, if not all, of the Old Schools I've had I don't think the heifers knew they had a calf until it was hollering.

I will say I haven't kept any Old School females out of some pretty good cows but I still sold them by the pound instead of paying for the dead truck.

Was this heifer on Roeckers online sale? I think I remember her pic from there. If she is, she is out of a Irish Whiskey x Meyer Son and a Sim/Ang. Cow. So she's not a direct irish whiskey daugher out of  a meyer cow like you pry think
