Is Bojo considered calving ease?

Lautners already have bull calves from Bojo that they hope to promote next year.

I am not sure about using a bull that has one crop on the ground as a calving ease solution. You are starting the heifer out in her productive career. The last thing you want to start with is a c-section or dystocia. Bojo is crossbred and could be quiet difficult to predict calving ease on crossbred females. I would stick with someof the calving ease solutions on the market.
Northern Improvement, Traveler T510, Dream On, Ranch Hand, Gizmo, Surf, Jake's Proud Jazz, Above and Beyond and so on.

I agree with Ohio Breeder and the other posters.  I think we need to see a couple hundred calves out of Bojo before we say he is okay for heifers.  If you are stuck on Bojo, why not us his sire-- Ali or Ali2 the clone?  Ali is proven calving ease and you just may get one as good as Bojo.

Incredible bone and tremoundous thickness doesn't sound like a heifer bull to me. Maybe the 2nd time around.

We had 4 of them, all out of mature cows, all unassisited with plenty of vigor.  The 3 heifers were 96, 76, and 80.  The bull was 118 (out of a Godfather cow that usually puts some birth weight on her calves).  I wouldn't use him on a 1st calf heifer, but wouldn't be afraid to use him on 2nd calvers.  The gestation lengths were normal +1, -14, -3, +2 days (using 283 days).

I really liked them.  Sold them all for show calves.  They get better and better the older they get.  The picture in my avatar is a Bojo X Kadabra we raised.

Good to know.  I have several second calvers bred to Bojo.
