Would it be ok to breed a yearling heifer to sav net worth with sexed semen?

I asked same question few weeks ago when getting semen order together. Net Worth sexed at $20 is very worth the money. 90% chance of a heifer calf and I think 90% chance you would be ok. 10% chance may be an issue. I am undecided yet on if I will go that route....

I have bred heifers to Net Worth before.  I've never had any problems.  Keep in mind that I was only breeding Purebred Angus heifers.  On a crossbred, especially anything Simmental or Charolais, there would be a higher probability of issues. Use at your own discretion I guess...

I will say that the sexed semen is probably worth a try.  We have about 50 daughters of Net Worth in production and they are all awesome cows.  Docility is my only issue with them.

Please do not use Net Worth on heifers.  The EPD's are generally very accurate.  I have numerous NW females and love them as cows.  I would not risk a larger BW calf when there are other numerous sexed semen options.
