This morning it was -26C (-15F) with a windchill of -34C (-35F) . I think it is a lot colder north of us, we must sure live right.
I took a couple pictures before the camera frooze up.
The picture of the bull is a son of CUMBERLAND GAY LAD .
The last picture is of a visitor driving around in the golf cart, sipping wine spritzers while looking at the cattle.

It must be nice to be in the banana belt coyote.  Here in Moose Jaw we got to -40C with windchill.  Scary thing is it sounds like today was nice compared to what is coming tomorrow when it is supposed to be windy.

I hope those spritzers are a high proof or are they just wine popsicles?

I just came in from being outside and I couldn't help but think that I was glad I wasn't a cow!  We have had an amazing winter so far, so we are finally getting some winter conditions. If we can hold on until the weekend it looks like we may see some milder temps again.Right now it is so cold that the politicans have their hands in their own pockets!

I wasn't feeling near as sorry for the cows as I was for those calves out there that were born a week or so ago when the weather was nice and now get hit with this.

Is that TDU? I don't know her personally but it kinda looks like the same person who was leading her heifer Bubbles in Australia a few months ago. If it is I guess she gets to experience  real Canadian winter weather. I like the picture you have of the bull, he looks good. Our cows are going to start calving beginning February and I am really hoping that we can go back up to -10 or -15C soon! The only one who seems to be enjoying this weather is my son's 4-H steer who has been sweating with the abnormally warm temperatures that we have been having. He looks down right comfortable today. BRRRRR!!

Yes that is TDU, it was above freezing the day she was here so the spitzer flowed well.

We were up to minus 20 C this morning ( about 4 below F) and we are supposed to go above freezing tomorrow (clapping)

minus 6 F here this am but little wind so it is AOK - yesterday there wind was 30 and significantly higher than the temp - that was not pleasant - all babies warm and toasty - no frozen water - a touch of sun - life is good  ;)

Those spritzers went down well... I think they should be compulsory for all cattle herd visits from now on!! The ice fishing, on the other hand, can be optional!

Ice fishing is OK once you have the hole cut for the boat!

(thumbsup) A boat would be much more preferable to a truck!
