If you are wanting to add some growth and still go the Heatwave route, then I would look at Invincible.  He puts a lot of power and hair on his calves, and has way more growth in him than Heatwave (in my personal experience anyway).

Have you ever had a problem with getting tall Heatwaves?  Seems like if there's a HW that's just not quite cutting it, it's because they're too tall.  I'm talking about young calves, they don't make it to be a fat steer if it's a HW that doesn't cut it...and I just mean that from what I've seen, I've never used HW myself.

I have had some Heat Seekers get too tall and lanky, but never a Heat Wave.  I have had flushmates that varied greatly in size.  Most would grow correctly and finish correctly, but then there would be 1 or 2 that just had no growth what so ever.  They would be little dinks.  Tall has never been a problem with my Heat Waves.  Not saying it can't happen, just hasn'thappened on my cows.

I think jigsaw could be kinda cool.  Hooks new bull power 2 change could give you a cool lookin baldy.  I also think that Static X could be cool on her too, but I havent really seen or heard anything about him

I guess if she were mine and you don't mind Shorthorn, I'd look really hard at flushing her to Vegas, we have had really good luck with Vegas on our Maines and I think he would clean her front up which seems to be the only thing I can see she could use.
If you don't go the Vegas route I'd go back with Chill Factor, I've seen some really nice Chill Factor heifers and it looks like he works great on her.

I p.m'ed you but will make this statement, flush her to some good maternal genetics first. Whether it be Shortie, Simmy, Angus or whatever.Get some good heifers out of her, then shoot for the great steer or bull.

Breed her to somethin with some milk.  Those ice pic genetics have been light milkers.

i forgot about it.

i'd like to give red and DL props and being good mother's to me.  i'd like to thank jason for the changing the karma feature. shortyisqueen for nice steers from canada, telos for continual dreaming, chambero for nuclear power (check out yesterday's wall street journal), jbarl for keeping me honest, xxcc for new direction, one mom for changing her tune about me, and many others.  i think the thing i miss most is the female chatter between justme and red, cowz giving the site a more farm kitchen feel before chores/work feel.

I like that idea also, I have thought aout that many times.

I will get some pictures of him here pretty soon, we have been pretty busy all last week getting ready for branding all of our commercail calves, and then it up and rains all day today :'( can't complain, but horrible timing.

Pc metric would be?
