We have a JWR calf that will go to our county fair next year. He is a better calf IMO than our Cherry Bomb calf this year that was 3rd over all steer.

With very few exceptions most of the JWR's I've seen have structure problems.  THese calves were out of a wide variety of cows from club calf bred to purebred simmy, shorthorn, angus and red angus cows.

We had a few last fall, out of a variety of cows.  No problems with structure here, just nice calves but nothing real special.  We sold a couple of decent steers and we'll keep a couple of the heifers for cows, and we're feeding a steer out of him - haven't shown him yet, we've kind of been considering him a second stringer, but as time goes by it's looking like he may move up.

I recently purchased an interest in a bull that I'm really excited about. He is a JWR out of an old line bred Cunia cow. He's really sound and super stout, with lots of look, too.  I'll try to get some pics after I get him home, but it'll prob'ly be a few weeks.
