The JSAR 2011 sale averaged $3,348. High seller was "Lot 1–Jsar Mr Hot Rod 266BHMR, 1-1-05 bull by Gambles Hot Rod. To Bush Angus, Britton, SD, for $10,400, two-thirds interest."
I was at the Mid Continent/Jones Stewart Top Cut club calf sale where Stewarts sold Angus heifers - the heifers were really fancy and stout and the high seller was 7750, but was pry one of the better angus heifers i've seen in terms of thickness and bone IMO. The bulls looked about the same and they kind of have an outcross pedigree to boot.
