What were the results of the steer and heifer shows this weekend and who had the good ones?

In the Steer Show:
Grand: Shilo Schaake (Cross)
Reserve: Janae Ochs (Cross)

In the heifer show:
Grand: Cole Clanton
Reserve: Calvin  (not sure of the last name) (Charolais)

really liked both steers..that won.. andthe champion market heifer was flat out good.
schakes steer was good.. problay prettier than the reserve steer.. not as stout
the reserve was huge topped. sqare assed and had excelent toe placement..// he was just usper sound

Cole Clanton-AOB
Calvin Dix-Char
Shane Schaake-Simmi
Spencer Mobly-Commercial
Lynch-Simmi-not sure of her 1st name
I have the list of steers but no time, I'll post them this afternoon.
I think that was the order on the last 2 they may be switched.

Jill you're right on the order of the heifers. That Champion market heifer was really nice, impressive how feminine she was through her front 1/3 and yet still so massive. I did meet a few SP members. I didnt ever talk to Jill but I did see her a quite a few times

The champion market heifer was fabulous, I think he said she was a Money Talks.  I didn't get to meet you, but I did see you show your little heifer in class, sorry I missed you.

Do you know where they got her from? Haha yeah kind of felt out of place with fall heifers amongst mostly spring borns. Are you going to Wichita?

They raised her.  The American Royal Dog Show is the same weekend as Wichita and the kids had decided they wanted to show there.  I really wish we were going to Wichita instead, Randy Daniels is one of my favorite judges and if I had known he was going to be judging we would have gone.

I agree on the market heifer.  She was good.   

BCCC.. I didnt' see your heifer in the ring but she looked good when you were leading her back.  Will you have her at Wichita?

As of now planning on going. Should be interesting setting up the fan cage and all by myself lol I think I'll be there by my lonesome till saturday evening, and then my sister's coming up from Tulsa.
