Thanks,

Steer numbers seemed to be way down. Is it just the economy? Or something else?

Sheep numbers seemed to be way up this year, I think the pig numbers were up as well.  I cant' say about the cattle..  but seems like he clicked thru the heifers a lot faster (or were there fewer?) than last year.

ALSO..  Big thanks to BCCC for dropping by and manning the blower for us!! (clapping) (clapping) (clapping)

Heifer show took around 3 pm just like last year. Was told (not confirmed) that steer numbers were half of what they were in 2009.

Seemed to me like there was a lot less cattle in the barn because that one whole row was empty.

There were a lot fewer Hereford heifers this year. Seemed about the same number of heifers as the year before otherwise.

Wasn't that a nice Charolais heifer?

That was a really nice Char heifer that was crowned supreme. But the one I was impressed with was the champion Red Angus heifer. What a solid truck of a female and walked so smooth. JMHO

Who had that charolais heifer? How was she bred?

Grady Dickerson (according to the KSF website). She was the real deal. I have seen that heifer at several shows and it has been fun to watch her come on.

There were actually more steers this year than 2008.  Couldn't find results from last year
