Just wondering what everyone else does on registration papers with their kids and the show calves.    We are still working out the details of who is going to show who.  What would be wrong with putting both kid's names on the heifers.  Can the papers stay that way thru the year?  What shows won't accept this?    The kids will eventually get to the point later this spring where each one has their own heifer they are showing but we switch them up at some of these spring shows.  We are also currently having issues with one heifer not turning out so needing to replace her.  I guess I was thinking of eliminating heartbreak at the end of the year by having the heifers papered in both kid's names in case something happens.  I guess I need to research rules for the state fairs, regional shows, jr. nat'l, etc.

Most shows will not accept papers with dual registery.  One option would be if you want to switch them up show in a cross class when the other kid is showing.

That's kind of what I suspected..    Our best bet is to get it all worked out before the registration deadlines.

Been there done that with my two kids.I talked to some of reps of
the AAA and they didn't give a hoot . They was worried more about
the bigger Boys EPD's and ect than trying to make it easier for
parents trying to be fair to the kid in the immediate family and overload
one kid with the calm better one and the other with the lesser ones.

It didn't matter when only one of the kids was old enough to go beyond the county fair....
