Has anyone used one of these barns for breeding cows? We are looking to breed some cows at rented pastures and one of these might be worth it. It might really help cows that get a little excited in the chute.

I have worked in the same one for 16 years now.  I would never go back to breeding in a chute.  In all of those years I have only had 2 customer heifers blow up in one.  They are great for keeping the cattle quite and for keeping your environment clean.  I think it speeds up things as well, easily get 125 bred in a morning.  PM if you have any more questions.

I have helped the local ABS rep breed many times over the last few years, and if you are set up right -yu can really move them thru there.

I like them -- sometimes it is a little tight working in one if you have too much equipment -- but with two guys breeding on both sides, it realy works for A-I

I have had some issues using them for ET due to the fact you can't fully contain them when you need them really still. If you are running cows that are used to the system, they stand pretty well, younger cattle that may be a little tight wound will move around alot in there -- but they doin chutes too.

If you have the means to get one, get the full blown top of the line deal -- hydraulic wheels and all. Spendy yes, but they will pay off in the long run in larger herds!

Good luck -- nice outfits!
