I am going to use both. I have only seen one Quane in person-she was a Brockmueller female-I saw in 1992-and way ahead of her time-stout,thick,moderate-didnt show a hint of dual.Anybody had any experience with him?Alot of people I admire have him back in the pedigrees. EXILE;looks like a truck-raised by a very good outfit-ANYBODY SEEN HIM?Ive heard he also has some size-to look that clubby. Thanx in advance O0

I saw Quane as a calf at Lazy D's when I was trying to decide him and Ultimate Type.  I thought Quane had a little more shoulder and dipped a little behind the shoulder along his topline.  He had a good hip, some depth, and an excellent dam.  I think she was one of the better full Irish cows I had seen at that time.

We bred two Quane daughters--they were some of our better cows.  One of them was 3/4 Irish and outstanding enough that a major breeder wanted to buy her.  Quane sired functional cattle with eye-appeal.  Merl Welch said that Q. moved like a cat.

I saw Quane as a calf and liked him then,. and saw him again as a mature bull ( probably 6=7 years old) and was even more impressed. He was an excellent bull and he left many outstanding daughters. His sons were probably pretty good as well but I expect most were steered in those days. Quane had tremendous thickness and lots of volume and he did move very well. I think he had really good feet for an Irish bull. I was so impressed when I saw him as a mature bull, that I tried to get a price on him, but the owners would not even price him. If there is semen around on him I would like to get some!
