Jen, Limi's won't bore anyone. I like'em. That cross could be cool. How's calving treating you so far? What about lambing? I'm not technical @ all either, but I sure love looking. I lost our first Money Man calf, the 2nd one is out of a Dr. Who heifer, came 14 days early estimated weight of 40lbs-, not much hair, and a chore to keep alive early, but is doing well now, but WOW, not fun to look @ considering what you're hoping for all season!!!! LOL.

Weather and time has not been on my side taking pictures....but tomorrow looks good. I will try and get them taken and posted.
Calving going well, lambing was great (185%) on suffolks and dorsets! Have a few that will run with the best of them!
My Dr.Who is looking good, and I love my JPJ's!!!
Pics coming soon (I hope!!)

Alredy into May calving? just kidding, couldn't resist.  The white calf looks like it has a bloody nose, is it colored that way?

It looks like JPJ crossed really well with Limis, nice calves.

Not purebreds, so they will have actual birthdates, not "adjusted" as the show ring requires.

Oops, I tried to look at the photos while typing and that didn't work!
These calves were all born within the past week with the exception of the Cowboy Up (#2), and Dr.Who (#4)....
Heres the info:
#1 - White calf - Does NOT have a bloody nose, but is the way it was colored, is fading with time. She is out of a Okie Dokie cow (TH/PHA free) and JPJ. Born at 55#, super hairy and sweet. Born last week.
#2 - Black calf - Cowboy Up calf out of a simmiXangus heifer. #85. Born Feb 14. Nice bull, but lost the tips of his ears due to cold weather.
#3 - Butterscotch calf - Out of 1/2 limi X gelv, angus cow. 80#. JPJ is the sire. She is just 4 days old. You can't tell, but has a roan belly, legs, tail!!! Can't wait for this one to grow up!!
#4 - Black Calf - Dr. Who sired. Out of angus cow. 105# unassisted. Born Feb 29. He is something!!!
#5 - Red & White calf - Out of JPJ and a 1/2 limi X1/2maineXangus heifer (TH/PHA free). 80#. Hairy and super friendly!!

I am not a photo taker and my calves are not good photo subjects! I appreciate everyones comments, good and/or bad.
thanks for the compliment jill, my other JPJ X limi calves are not here yet, hopefully soon.

Nice calves !!!!!!!! The #5 calf looks a lot like many of the JPJ's that I've seen that young.
