Have been in FFA for 3 years do alright at judging, always in the top 10 wanting to go further but our Ag teacher is no help. Was thinking about either going to the OSU, KSU, or Texas A&M camp. Any suggestions? Thanks

What do you mean by judging camp? Is it a camp to learn, where they teach you, or a camp similar to a football or baseball camp (try-out type deal)

Most judging camps I have heard of are more of a informative, teaching, coaching kind of a deal, was looking at OSU's deal at one time and they record you giving reasons and make a dvd for you to go off of and everything.

I have been to K-State's camp, and it is a great experience.  Dr. Schakke does a great job and I learned a lot the year I went.  I have never been to the other two, but one of my teammates has been to Oklahoma State's camp and he said it was very good as well.  Ohio State is also putting on a judging camp this summer and I would expect it to be very informative as well.  I encourage you to go to at least one of these camps.  Not only do you learn a lot about judging, but you make some great connections.  A lot of the Junior College coaches will be at these camps, not only helping out, but recruiting as well.

KSU, OSU, adn TAMU are all powerhouses at the Sr College Judging level, so not only are their coaches good, but their team members who will be helping with the camps are some of the best in the country among their contemporaries. I dont think you will go wrong with any of the camps.  Also I havent heard if they are having a camp, but Texas Tech has been dominating at the collegiate contest lately, and they probably have one of the best Collegiate Livestock Judging Coaches of all time in my opinion, they may be a viable option if they have one.
But all in all you cant go wrong with any of them, all good programs, just pick the one that is closer to you.
