I actually have a feedlot up the road- that has two steers with headgear-- I'd guess they are about 10 yrs old- and heard someone say that back in the day- they pulled a wagon or something.  I'm not sure.. they sure don't have horns like this though.

Where I grew up- there was a guy had a longhorn cow-- funniest thing ever trying to watch her eat from the hay ring..  Just couldn't quite reach. <rock>

I was doing some goofing off one day online, and came across an ad for polled texas longhorns-- what's that all about?  that would be one worthless animal- as i'm pretty sure the number 1 good aspect of a longhorn-- is the horns...

Chutes don't work either if they have any span at all.  We got a neighbor that has around 20 hd. just because he likes the way they look.  ;D
