i live in Wv, and love to hunt ducks and geese. since i do not live in a major flyway, i do not have a whole lot of success. does anyone know of any good public lands in ohio, indiana, illinois, or kentucky near a major river system where i could hunt waterfowl in late season?

If you want to come to Kansas I live right next to cheyenne Bottoms ... could prolly find a corner for you and a place to park the boat

both but the goose hunting is mostly in the fields around while the ducks are hunted a lot on the refuge.. I don't hunt waterfowl... just live near the bottoms... probably 10 groups of geese overhead while I was doing chores

Plenty of woodies and geese down here in South GA ! If you are willing to travel a bit I could hook you up with a very reasonable guide in AR as well.

Yep cheyenne bottoms is  excellent water fowl hunting.  Lots of good places in KS.  I am getting ready to start here pretty quickly, my region of KS is late opening.  We mainly pond jump, but might set up a blind this year at the watershed.

you just have to know the right people- or have the inside scoop like I did working there.

I think I've personally walked the entire boundary line, while doing work, and could lead you to some pretty crazy good fishing/ hunting spots, back in the boonys.

btw, how would you know?
