So, Mr. Iowann, when can I come pick up this heifer? She would go nicely with my Perfect Timing and Double Vision heifers..... (lol)

She is standing in our barn on wood shavings, after being groomed. She is a honey!
She is out of our Heartbeat Maine commercial cow. The cow is 14 years old, and will be put down this fall. She has developed severe stifle problems. She has produced many really good calves. She will be buried here on our place.
"Abby" is bred to an easy calving herd bull for next spring. She's not for sale. Sorry.
And it's Mrs. lowann, I'm the herdsman in this family.
I love my cattle!! <party>

Ah, Madam, please forgive my seemingly ever-growing incompetance.  She's a dandy heifer, and I bet she will make an outstanding replacement for her momma.  Congrats!

Bottom right is one of our fans. Our show calves aren't kept in coolers.
I've seen too many calves kept in coolers at shows, out in the Iowa heat, that look like they are going to drop dead.
Fans only here.
Thanks for the nice comments on her!
Her 1/2 sister is bred to GC for next spring. I'm hoping for another one just like her!

She looks good,  certainly on the straight side, but looks to have a lot of nice things about her.

When she was shown, she floated through. Flexes like a dream!
All the judges that saw her commented on her movement.
They all said she would be tough to beat when she matured.
Funny how we ended up keeping her. She was consigned to be sold in The Worth County Club Calf Sale last November. She got an upper respiratory infection, and couldn't go through the sale.
Thank goodness for us! She hasn't been sick a day since. I think she just wanted to stay here with me!
Thanks for all the nice comments on her. It is so rewarding to have one born on your own place, and have them turn out this good.

She is moderate. Her Momma is  a larger framed cow, so is her 1/2 sister. Her 1/2 sister is Heartbeat/DJ Salute. She has had aw some calves too.
