Have a couple questions. When are most peoples fall calves born to be competitive? Have two heifers that were in heat yesterday, would like to bring them back in, how long do I wait to give them lute, and how long till they cycle? Thanks in advance

It will take from 5 to 7 days to grow a functional CL, good enough to re-inject and then recycle.

After a single dose of F2@ in a cow with a mid-cycle CL, usually you will see them in heat 2.5 to 4 days later. This is of course just an average. Hfr will tend to cycle just a tad sooner than a cow will from the same program.

If you wait until they are at least a week post h eat to give them Lutelyse or it's equivelent -- you should be good to go. Good luck --
