Maine Question - Warning may sound dumb LOL

I have never raised maines but have been very impressed with the breed and I know that you can register animals that arent pure maine but I have a question.
I sold my registered hereford bull to a guy that used them on registered angus and is have baldy calves - obviously not registerable but I do get to pic a heifer or steer.  If i choose a heifer and breed her to a maine can her calves be registered?  Technically the heifer wouldnt be registered but her parents are so idk ....  ))

If the bull you breed her too was 75% maine  you could get registerable calves at either 38%(or some number like that) or 1/2 bloods if breed to a PB

Maine steers only need the 1/4 to register and show as a Maine.

Steers are only required to be out of a registered Maine bull.
