I had recently submitted a sample on a bull and was told the Myostatin test was not available through the normal ASA testing procedure. Seemed like quite the inconvenience considering it's a known defect in the population and I really wanted the results to show up in the database. Good news came today and apparently the lab is now offering the ASA the Myostatin test and it can be added to the list via the "additional test" column. I was charged the $27 additional testing fee you see on the far right of the form.

After my Canadian test results for Uluru Buster 6T for myo were sent to the ASA they finally found a way to get them posted on the site under DNA.
This was the first bull to be recorded as Myo free on the ASA site.
I guess based on my discussions with Kathleen they found a way to get the test done in the US.

Under DNA on the ASA Uluru Buster 6T is recorded as THF PHAF DSF & MYOfree.
