I know a lot of you like dogs.  I get an opportunity to see lots of interesting dogs in rural parts of Texas and surrounding states.  I've got a few photos I just had to show you.  The top two were taken by me, the bottom was sent to me by a friend.  These are not photoshopped or altered in any way.

Photo taken in northeast Texas while we were out doing some biological field work (not at this house thank goodness).  I don't know if it shows up at this size, but when you zoom in on the photo, there are at least as many cats on the front porch as there are dogs on the roof.  I don't think I've ever seen one dog on a roof, let alone this many.

DogSign.jpg

I would have really liked to have found this dog so I could have met the people that put up this sign.  Taken a couple of weeks ago near Fort Polk, LA.  I've spent lots of time in the "woods" in this region and the locals have quite a collection of muts of every breeding combination imaginable.  I hope they found their dog.

SensitivityTraining.jpg

This Texas dog obviously skipped his sensitivity training class.  Even his owner looks a little creeped out.  A friend took this picture and didn't realize what he'd captured until after the fact.  What a hunting dog!

those are hilarious! (clapping)  I wonder how many dogs were inside that house.  The dog and deer is a riot!  I think they need to get that dog a mate.
