market for june steers? NEW VIDEO

is there much of a market around ohio for june steers? i have a may 28th calf that is turning out to be pretty good, he is a silver baldy out of that pale face bull we had and this cow (char x maine x angus)

Got a pic of him? I think I'm going to start buying  later born steers, because come county fair time those monsters are overfinished and the judge looks past 'em. Though I got a febuary steer this year that'll be perfect come fair time.

I've had a lot of success with May/June steers.  They make great Middleweights around this time, and are really fresh at State.

he is a purebred hard core out of a 3/4 maine cow out of the old maine bull called grand slam. just a yearling who has never ever been on feed

i would say he is more of a county fair competitor with some hard work

I think that calf should have enough growth and if pushed hard enough should make a great county fair calf!!! Depending on when your county fair is July/Early August? I think he'd do well around that time of year!!! Good Luck with him!!!
