not to be rude but didnt he say maternal bull and i dont remember sunseeker, monopoly, or even wmw being maternal. hard core i think from what i know/ herd of him he is maternal but i cant say for sure im unsure of his pedigree.kidsandkows said:I have never used either bull and I am not sure what breed (s) you are looking at, but it seems like I have seen a lot of nice Sunseekers, Monopolys, and Who Made Whos in the clubby genetics. Another one I was kind of curious about and by the way I am interested in anyones input on all this like I said I dont have first hand knowledge this is more of an observation, but I also have seen a few Harcore that I like.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've always felt like WMW is probably the top "club calf" maternal bull out there...

What about Heat Seeker?
Heat Wave?
I find it hard to believe that any club calf bull can be considered 'maternal'- but i guess if you got me down and pointed a gun at my head I'd agree and call WMW the king of club calf mamas- he is the best at producing females for a diamond in the rough.
you are missing the point-- I stated that obiviosly WMW is one of the best female producing club calf bulls that has ever been created... The question that I asked was...OH Breeder said:Jodi,
IT depends on what you are breeding for. WE have discussed this in the past- your herd is not nor will ever be club oriented. Now, if you read the show circuit you discussed earlier and or look at Lautner's blog you will see good WMW females just seem to click with clubby bulls. If you were breeding for club genetics you would want a few good Who Made Who mothers in your herd. I have one in our herd and she is maternal to the T. She catches first stick AI, calves unassisted and milks excellent. She is going on 15 years old and you can see in her picture she looks pretty good for 15. The pic of her was from this past spring '11.

Do you think WMW produced more 'great' females or 'terminal oriented ones' in his lifetime...?
and what I just read on another post... What do you think made more great WMW daughters- average cows, or great Angus ones- was he a cow changer? I'm going to guess and say that those great cows, which are sired by WMW, are 99% of the time getting their greatness from the otherside of their pedigree.
and your response will be? read my ETA to the above post.. you might really scratch your head after that..OH Breeder said:Cut the BS said:you are missing the point-- I stated that obiviosly WMW is one of the best female producing club calf bulls that has ever been created...
