Melatonin in Winter

Is it ok to feed Melatonin during the winter to help with the edginess of a heifer we have.

We feed it, what would be wrong with it. Keep feeding it. Great for calming!

I was just wondering because its suppose to be -14 with a wind chill here. That wont hurt them will it? How much Melatonin do you feed in winter?

Good friends of mine feed the pills from wally world and swear by them. 2 others used implants and 1 says he isn't so sure he likes the results and the other says he loves them. We feed the liquid style. Others say its a waste of money. We use it sparingly now  because of the cost, so only 12cc right now until after previews are done. Then we will stop and let them shuck and start over using it a little heavier thru the summer.
