When breeding to an angus cow to make halfbloods?  Would like to get replacement halfbloods to grow the herd and possibly show.

I really love my 3C Macho cow. macho is a meyer son. She is an excellent mother beautiful udder. I used Dream on on her daughter this year who is out of Northern Improvement. We have been really pleased thus far. I don't think you can wrong either way. I am not a simmi person though.

Anymore there are more differences within a breed than between them.  If you have the little pudgy OCC looking angus then Meyer or sons seem to work well.  Most purebred simmi guys didn't like Meyer in his own day.  In the words of on, "He is a slab sided no gut wonder, but he worked on soft Angus cows."  If you have bigger frame Angus then go with the Dream On.  Again from a Simmi breeder I have been talking to,  "You better have some power in the cow with DO or you won't have enough meat in his ass to make a roast beef sandwich."

Both bulls are great but they need to be used on the right cows.  I know some Meyer X OCC Anchor cows that are darn good producers.  It worked.
