What kind of prices do the better females bring during the sale on Saturday at the expo?  Namely the Angus and Shorthorn.  Any information would be great.

Last year the Champion Angus heifer sold for $7000 I believe.  You can expect around $4000 or so as a safe bet for the top quality heifers.  I haven't watched those two sales in a couple years.  We usually have cattle in the Maine and Chi sale so I am busy with that.  But from talking with people those are safe figures you can expect.

This year's Shorthorn sale is the National Polled Congress held during Michigan beef expo. You can contact Cagwin for entry and do it quick.  Last year's Champion female sold for $1200 but alot of females sold for 2500 and over. Pretty sure a bred sold for over 4000. Hope this helped
