I've got no idea what you're talking about....the Kleen Sheen/Vinegar spray is a daily thing, but should be rinsed out at least once a week if weather permits.

How does the orvus shampoo work? Is it comparable to EZALL or Clear choice?

NO. If you don't want any hair left on your calves, use Orvus, but otherwise stay the heck away from the stuff.  All the dairy folks around here use it.  We use Joy or Dawn dish soap at home, and use Clear Choice to wash out glue.

I got a kick out of reading the Orvus comments, I remember the stuff well.

Years ago, when I was much younger and thought it would be GREAT FUN, I worked for a fitting service and would sometimes have 100+ head at a 10 day show.

I can remember being about 16 and stuck in the wash rack for hours on end wondering if it would ever be over.

Orvus was what we used to get the whites white on polled herefords, it also seemed great for removing human skin that it came into contact with.

Nasty stuff!

But it did have magical cleaning properties, just needed to be rinsed VERY carefully.

  I don't miss it!

Anyone using pink oil from Wally World needs to go to the dollar store. Its only $2.00 and they always have a ton of it. They also have the Olive oil in the green cans for $3.00.

If you use downey do u use it before or after you rinse ?and will it keep their hair white? Just swiched from gert to Charolais and I don't know anythang on growing hair

Better than what?

The vinegar is for the dry skin issues....

Tried infusium 23 & vinegar.... LOVE it!  I'm amazed at the difference in the hair.

Thanks for the tip!

Just curious...what kind of vinegar is everyone using? Distilled? White? Willing to try but don't want to use the wrong one...Thanks

K so i have a steer and we can put him in a cool room with fans rinse two to three times a day just wondered what products ya all recommend for everyday hair care as far as like vinegar with sheen or alcohol or just what the best mix would be to put in him for everyday thanks

I wouldnt use alcohol on an everyday basis.  it is counterproductive for what you are wanting to accomplish with the condition of the skin.
We use a 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 mix of ultra sheen, vinegar and infusium.  Get good results with it.  When training hair and dont have much time will cut in a decent amount of Sullivans Hair set.  when clipping or needing pop, cut down on the amount of vinegar and use absorbine liniment.  I keep extra bottles around to mix and match as needed.  Have also mixed sheen, vinegar and Lusters Pink Hair Conditioner with good results.  We always back off to a lighter mix a few days before a show.  Can weigh down the hair just a tad, but is good for hair and skin condition.  Also take and rub in Pink lotion to the tailset and switch.

So I'm a angus and clubie guy but this year ive got a charolais heifer to show.  Her hair is some of the worst hair ive seen.  But it might just be that im spoiled with the clubies.  The hair is really swirlly and is really flat.  Ive been rinsing once a day and blowing her and then sprayin kleen sheen/infusium mix on and and then using the roto fluffer on the whole body for 2 months now, and havent seen any progress.  How can I get it to go the right way and pop?

I think im going to give this a try...So rinse off, comb out, spray this stuff in then blow out?
would it be okay to try 1/3 maine & tail/ 1/3 vinegar/ 1/3 kleen sheen? also what type of vinegar should I use? white? distilled?

Rinse, brush, blow, then sheen them. And then brush and blow some more. I use white vinegar.
