Mixing My Own Feed

I am most likely going to mix my own feed this year. How much does a bag of 4t-Fyer currently cost? Also, how much does a bag of Moorman's 32/5 mintrate currently cost? I also wouldn't mind hearing some of your rations. Will be fed to Simmental Breeding Heifers. Thanks.

Call your local feed dealer for prices. Someone in California is going to pay a very different price than someone in Minnesota for the same product.

I'm in south central Texas.  Just compared prices on AAOK's ration and a similar ration using the Grand 4Tfyer.  AAOK's ration is  $3 less a hundred.  You just have to get a price from your local mill to compare.

Consider using VitaFerm's Sure Champ in your ration.  Cost roughly .60 a day to feed depending on your location.

Grand 4t fyer supplement costs me around 20.00 bucks
For 1ton
I mix 1500lb ear corn
300lb grand 4T fyer
150lb SBM or CSM
50lb bovatec mineral

We are in MN and we pay about $19 a bag for 4T-Fyer.  We use a little oats and either beet pulp or cottonseed hulls in our ration along with what the other recipe stated.
