Not to bash.. but I have not heard pleasant things from a very close, respected friend on CC&7.  She has boughten SydGen bulls for many years, and says that the CC&7 bull was all hype, and nothing to back it up phenotypically. He was very pinched through the heart/ forrib, shallow, and didn't have enough bone.  She said he didn't have enough to him when he was on display, and the next year they went  back to the sale, and the bull wasn't hardly mentioned at all.

Now, for what that's worth.. I couldn't tell you...

I just got my Origen catalog, and they seem to love CC&7 and his sons.. There are several of them, and some of which I wouldn't mind sticking to a few cows, as I sure like their pictures.

Have seen lots of Dynamites.  Not all that impressed.  The feet and legs would be the one of the many concerns I have with them.  They are not the best footed cattle, small foot, shallow heeled and most are not as sound on the legs as I would like to see, like one friend commented on them - if they were horses we'd call them cow hocked!!  Pictures of the progeny seldom really do them favours, they do not for the most part have the muscle shape and mass that pictures seem to show.  Also tend to be a little narrow through the pins, even for angus, for my liking.  Upside to them - they are clean made up front, and have plenty of middle to them, and the Canadian owner seems to sell the heck out of them.
