Heres our Majors Money Man bull calf that was born this morning around 9 am central time. So these pics he's not even ten hours old. He was 70lbs exactly, and unassisted of course. He's out of our Dr. Who x Heat Seeker heifer. The first pic is of his dam in the fall, the second one is of her at the county fair(Res. Champ Chi heifer  ;D ), the next one is of him and dam, and the last two are him! What do you think?

Its hard to evaluate newborn calves.  You can pick out the basics...bone, hair, general phenotype, whatever.  Its kind of like looking at a 2 day old baby and asking if they are going to be a model.  You can see that some babies are really more cute than others, but that doesn't mean they will grow up to be good looking, lol.
Your calf seems to have the right pieces.  He looks correct, with more than adequate bone, hair, etc.
That is probably why people don't really comment much on the newer calves.  It is nice to see them in a month or two, then you can REALLY start seeing their qualities.

Very true. :) I'll post up some more pics of him this summer and see how he compares.

The Money Man's aren't normally born with a bunch of power, but get better with time. They are usually good complete cattle. The heifers are more sought after than the bulls/steers. Nice calf though.

Thanks Brent!!! We were hoping for a heifer deep deep down!!!! As soon as dad said "Its a boy" I was like oh man...(Cuz I've seen some killer heifers out of him). But we're pretty happy with this guy. I cant wait to see how he develops. I get pics in a month or so to keep everybody updated.

Sure do like the looks of your heifer ;) Had a MM bull calf a couple of days before yours - actually full sib to the heifer I sold - he looks a lot like your boy (MM kinda stamps 'em) - they get better every day - MM may be close to another tri athlete (like the Witch Doctor) - good females, good show calves, good bulls - you may be very happy  ;)

Thanks for the comments and experience DL!!!! I would love to see some pics of your MM when you get some. Hey if you leave yours a bull and so do I, we can get another SP sale class at MI Beef Expo again lol. JUST KIDDING!!!! I've seen a lot of Money Man females I've liked. Gidget had one heck of a MM bull at the Iowa Beef expo.
