I'm not spreading it... TO be honest, due to SP is how I found out about it... From a very well respected- knowledgeable source... who knows as much about historic and current breeding programs as anyone in the breed....

For someone who claims to be a Shorthorn breeder of sorts one would expect you to be unhappy about the possibility especially after looking at awesome cattle posted by shortdawg.  Even if JPJ isn't in your herd apart from the Capiche in your tank another defect would affect the breed negatively.  Yet you can't help but smile about it?

Hard to reproduce and show defects stuck in a little frozen, plastic straw...  Much more than 10 seconds outside... and it will be like I never had it...  Still haven't put any in a cow though...  not like I'd be out of anything.. it was free...

He's Dustin's neighbor and has used JPJ a lot as well. I thought he owned a piece of him at one time but even if he didn't he has roamed some of his pastures and bred a lot of his cows. He and Dustin have some great Shorthorn cattle that you never see or hear a lot about b/c they are just in the pasture doing their thing. I've never heard either of them speak of Ahlschwede so I'm not sure on that one. I do know that they used JPJ heavily on those Double Stuff influenced females.
