A little background...I am a farm boy from WI that showed cattle, worked with race horses, showed a World Champion Quarter Horse, was a race photographer, traveled extensively and managed an engineering firm.  6 years ago I came down with MS and Fibromyalgia.  I lost or had to give up everything.  At age 40, I was lost and had no prospects.  Well, with the help of doctors, medicine, special walking aids I now am back in the cattle business.  And it's only going to get better.  So, see, anything anyone can do to help the cause can help bring hope and purpose back to someone's life.  Even the smallest amount can do big things.  Thank you for your time.

Jim; I don't know your symptoms, or how much these problems have affected your quality of life so I don't know if what I have to say will be of any help.
Have you researched the liberation treatment?  It is not a cure for MS but it sure helped me.  I ex perinced a great amount of fatigue with my MS.  After the treatment my energy level increased dramatically and it has stayed at that level.  I am now 17 months post treatment and still feeling great. ;D

Thanks TGIB...I haven't heard of it...I'll do some research.  To answer your question, I was diagnosed late in life (39) and it progressed quickly.  I have Fatigue, Numbness, Walking (Gait), Balance, & Coordination Problems, Bladder Dysfunction, Vision Problems, Dizziness and Vertigo, Pain, Cognitive Dysfunction, Depression, and Spasticity.  I was on Avonex for several years until I had two exacerbations in 4 months while on it.  Switched to Gilenya last fall.  Despite everything, I get up each day and do what I can.  I'm not rolling over and playing dead.  What I posted for was to ask for help with donations for this years Walk MS: Dallas.  Anyone can support my effort and donate by clicking on the following link:  https://secure3.convio.net/nmss/site/Donation2?idb=1158065986&df_id=36531&FR_ID=17673&36531.donation=form1&PROXY_ID=8594534&PROXY_TYPE=20&JServSessionIdr004=1211ttra92.app330a

Thanks,
Jim
