I have a heifer that was showed by some local kids at the county and state fair level and was just returned to us this past weekend. The heifer was born in late April of 2008 and is in the condition that I want her to be in come November for the Naile show in Louisville. We have her on pasture and hay right now but I was wondering how long I should keep her on that and when to start her back up on show ration or what I should feed her in the meantime. I'll post some pics of her when I get around to snapping a few of her.

I like to keep them on Beet Pulp and oats and Cotton Seed Hulls if you can get them to hold them and make some pretty sweet hair at the same time.
