Rockin' J always seems to put together a tough group. Would love to have seen it.

The single champion was alright. He wasn't quite as far along as a couple of the better blacks, and I liked that about him. He was a real cool looking kind of a smaller one. Woulda been awesome for a later (Hardin?) fair, if he stays sound. The other two in the pen were very average. I believe they only brought $1500 and less, and that wasn't a great deal. I thought that Cooksey had the best pen there. I believe they were middleweights and they were sixth in class

Brandon's pen was probably next for me. Cooksey had a Carnac that was the best single, but for some reason they showed a different one as their single ??? The sale was a better reflection of the quality than the show. The Carnac brought somewhere in the $8000's (I think Caldwell bought him), then the next one in that pen brought over $5000, and the third around $3000, by far the best selling pen, and they were so far down in the sale that only a handful sold after them. Daniels pen would have been the next highest in the sale around $5000, $4000, $3000. Both Champ and Res. pens had steers sell in the $1000's.
