OK... OK... I am obviously way too tired !!! I really made this too hard! That is, it might be hard if you can't read. In fact his name is on there twice.
Oh well, now I have to look for another bull to try to stump some of you.
Pheasant Creek Leader 4th was born in 1968 and was the Grand Champion Bull at the Regina Bull Sale. He sold for $7300 to Remitall Cattle Co. Olds, AB and he was the last herdsire at Remitall before they dispersed their Shorthorn herd. It is my opinion that Leader 4th was the best of the Leader line. His sire was the best son of Leader 21, Kinnaber Leader 6th ( IMHO). His dam was a great cow then and would be in any era and was bred in the good herd of Walter Larsen, Carrington, ND. Her name was Hiway Honeysuckle.
Leader 4th was cherry red, homozygous polled and weighed 2250 lb on pasture as a two year old bull. He looked just as good coming in from breeding as he did going out. I have used him on some bigger cows in the past and the results are really good. There are only 6 vials of his semen left and I have it. I could cry right now, as I had a tank with over 100 vials of his semen rupture and I lost it all as well as 200 doses of some other pretty good bulls and 28 embryos.
