I'm getting a few red simmy replacement heifers around and would like to keep them red . Anyone have any thoughts on using the NBar Hamley red angus bull ?

Anyone know for sure whether or not there is a clone of Hamley? There was a bull @ Nichols last week that said Nbar Hamley 002. I wondered if he was a clone or a son. BTW, nice looking young bull.

Jay may be able to answer that question for you there at Nichols.

Take a look at Northline Fat Tony.  We have 8 ET calves out of him and 4 natural calves, they are all thick, deep, and have good bone.  Unless they've updated his EPDs recently, he's got a really low BW.

Thanks for the info squirt ! Never heard of the northline bull before but ya he does look real good . I'm not very up to date with the red angus but I might just have to try this one . Still says -4.3 on bw epd .

Well, we raised. Hamley and as far as I know there isn't a clone of him yet.  I love his calves, and he sires lots of champs in the breed, I would also say take a look at Majestic Lightning, he kicks out some good calves, I  saw Fat Tony at Denver and was pretty impressed, had pretty good bone too.  But Hamley and Majestic Lightning are my top two in any breed.
