You can buy a tube of Lotrimin at the grocery store and rub on infected spots, they sell it for athletes foot and other itches.  After a couple of days it should clear up.

Go to your local JOHN DEERE dealer and get you a spray can of FLUID FILM. Scratch affected area with curry comb and spray area with the Fluid Film.Do this two or three times per week. I have been treating ring worm for over fifty years, this works better than anything I have EVER used. Price varies from state to state. Oklahoma aaround 12.00 to 15.00 per can. In Florida around 20.00 We bought it here in Wisconsin for 8.29 per can..Go figure!!

I have used a product called Imaverol, it comes in a small bottle from the vet. You mix it with water and it makes a brownish jelly like paste. Scrub the areas that are affected and then apply this paste on.

Works wonderfully!

I think it's actually intended for dogs if I recall.

Same problem, amigo.  Everybody has told me to use the Fluid Film, but both of our calves have ringworm around their flippin' eyes.  I'm too chicken to put the flud film there, so I've been using Lotrimin.  Works like a charm.  I treated our steer with Lotrimin for about 5 straight days, then took him to a show.  I didn't treat him again after that, and his ringworm is now completely gone.  The heifer got treated everyday for 7 days.  I'm done treating her I guess, because I'm out of Lotrimin.  Her ringworm spots around her eyes look 100X's better already.  Everybody has been telling me that the Fluid Film works unbelievably well, but the Lotrimin has been working for me pretty well too.

Go to your local pharmacy( Walgreen's, Wal-Mart) and ask for Blue Star ointment. It's over the counter, and stops it dead. Within days new hair is growing in the spots. Make sure you clean the pens, feed bunks, everything (halters, brushes etc.) with a solution of water with bleach in it.
Much, much easier, cheaper, and faster than anything else we have used by FAR!!

We use Fluid Film also, but the main thing is to shut the air off to the affected area while keeping it lubricated so the hair regrowth starts.

So, with the Blue Star, do you still scrape the spot until the bleed, or just put the ointment on as the spots are?
