need suggestions

Needing to breed some nice heifers to a proven clubby bull that won't tear up my heifers and still add bone and substance. Any suggestions are welcome.

I saw a bunch of Total Solution and Rocky Balboa calves last weekend. The Rocky's were real hairy and real small but may not have enough bone. Time will tell. The TS calves were really small and cool looking but he said they don't have much grow. You need to breed him to some larger framed hfrs. Both bulls had excellent calving ease.

Clubby bull and calving ease usually don't go hand in hand.  I see on here where a lot of people still swear by Who Made Who for your heifers.  Better make sure your heifers are pretty sound if you use him though.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Heifer + Clubby Bull= disaster. That is an oxymoron in itself. Go with a dependable calving ease bull the first go round. Northern Improvement, Traveler T510, GIZMO, Ali and even then anyone of these bulls can throw a biggin'. We just had a 58#er out of first calf Primo heifer. Nice when they slip out and are up and eating in minutes. The heifer has once chance at the first time. You can make or break one.
