Does anyone have experience calving heifers bred to Upgrade?

His numbers are currently 9.6 CE and -.3 BW, so that looks plenty good.

I'd just like to hear how he has worked for any that have experience calving heifers bred to him.

Thanks for any help.

Me personally, I wouldn't.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Upgrade and used him myself but I see potential for his EPDs to still change quite a bit. It's very rare for a bull with his combo of decent CE and super high growth so I expect one or the other to shift with more progeny reported.

I have a father that lovest the phrase "told you so" that in mind, I did use upgrade sexed seman on three year olds this year, and a heifer. All the people I discussed him with said he has consistent calves and they aren't over 80lbs at birth. I'm pretty excited about next year and not worried about the birthweights. I do really like g13 structure for heifers though, but he's related to everything I own so upgrade is the new bull I am going to try out. Best of luck

His CE and BW look fine, but his actual BW was over 100 if I remember correctly. That will keep me wondering until he gets more proven, especially with his high growth numbers. His sire was very calving ease, and his actual BW concerns me with that being the case too.
