87 lbs. birthweight, would you recommend him on clubby heifers?

doesn't matter about his BW.. he's tried and true, proven to be used on heifers of all kinds (except maybe Angus?)

Just out of curiosity why not angus heifers?

for angus breeders, he is just an avg bull, if he can rate avg.

N.Imp. cows got hot when bred to heat seeker and do cross well with others to make a "maternal" type of clubby momma. but crossing them would be ideal but only a special one would be bred back to ang. for purebreds.

N.I. is an excellent bull to produce show heifers and replacement females. Easy calving, excellent profile. Look at how amny clubby Angus go back to N.I. (including Lutton and Lutton sons).

We ahd a division reserve champ Angus female @ Ft. Worth 3 years ago out of N.I. and would definitely use him again.

I THINK NI is proablyy a good choice for heifers calving ease ,they don't have much thickness but proably good for calving ease ...We used him on some cows and raised a son out of a direct SCOTCHCAP daughter and have been using that son  on Angus ,charolais and clubby females .
We really like the females out of him for the clubby type females ,this son also puts a cleaner front end on his offspring ......Had a club calf producer use him on heifers along with his sire NI ,he said the NI calves came easier than his son Northern Gun said he had to help some of the
X bred heifers bred to NG  but had no serious problems ....One of these heifers ended up in Canada  and raised the bull  PRETTY SNAZZY that is in DENVER this week on display ...... The NI bull must have been very fertile for the amount of semen that has been sold out of him for quite a few years .
The fertility factor that he displays is good for keeping females out of ....
