I had one bull calf out of him this fall.  I was a little disappointed at first, but by weaning time he is real good.    He was small enough on a first time heifer.  hope this helps.  I would use him again. .

I've had probably 8-10 over the last two years.  I like them overall, wish I had more heifers but got mostly bulls.  Great CE, good docility, nice rib shape and depth of body, thickness adequate.  I'll be using him this year as I finish out my second cane of semen.  Not great conception rate would be my biggest knock of the whole deal.

That is what I have heard.  Tried to order some from my semen rep through Cattle Vision and he told be that Legend was pulled about a week ago.  Perhaps just a way to hike up the price.  We will see.

Griswold uses missing link on Sims and Maines, mostly for milk, but also to downsize, and docility. For my money the OCC bulls have a place in any herd,be it clubby or purebred. Having said that, I like Grizz for club calf purposes. If you want to spend the big bucks, then get you some Spur Emulous Master semen and cross on Simmys or Maines. You can check some results on Elliot cattle co. website on Showsteers .com

We had 10-12 heifers bred to him...sold some of them before they calved.  The ones we kept came easy got going fast and haven't stopped yet.  Growing good longer bobied than our past Legends.  Using him on all the heifers again next year.  All types also worked on.

I think Missing Link will work well.  We have used Legend in the past and he is NOT easy calving.  The females aren't like other Olhde types in terms of fleshing ability either.  Jetstream is the best one we've used on heifers and for producing replacement females.  We got the bull pictured below a few years ago and he has worked better than the rest in combining muscle, body, look and calving ease.  He's a beast.  We've sold a considerable amount of semen (500 units) without alot of effort and have some females about to start production out of him.
