old semen tanks?

I am looking at buy a small used tank. Would there be a problem sence it hasnt been filled or used for a few years? If it makes a difference its an ABS tank. Thanks

I'd see if the seller will fill it & see if it's going to hold before buying or puting semen in it.

ETA:  I was on my way somewhere & passed a yard sale with a semen tank for sale... stopped & paid an insanely low amount for the tank & the AI box that went with it.  It was dry but since the price was cheap, I took a chance.  I took it to KABSU & had them fill it & then left it up there for a few months..  and it held and is still holding.

Thats kind of the problem I have to pick up some embroys and semen in denver on the 17th and my tank is COMPLETLY packed, I may have room for a few straws but thats pushing it!

Check with some semen distributers.. sometimes they have rentals or used for sale..

I know that KABSU has them at a pretty reasonable rate.  I am getting one to take out to Denver to deliver some embryos.

I wouldn't put anything in a tank you don't know will work, without testing it I wouldn't take a chance.  I know Genex is always there, you might check with one of them to see if they have anyone going your way.  Scott Mesik is our rep and I know he goes out there, don't know if he comes anywhere near you or not.
