Judging Contest

Put your judging skills to the test ONLINE and have fun in the first-ever Showmaster® National Livestock Judging Contest!
The top 10 winners in each age group will win GREAT PRIZES and bragging rights for the season.
Animal Classes:
This exciting new Showmaster® contest is comprised of 12 animal classes in total, with four animals in each class. Classes include:
Hereford Steers Market Lambs (two classes)
Shorthorn Steers Crossbred Market Hogs
Angus Heifers Duroc Market Hogs
Simmental Heifers Hampshire Market Hogs
Suffolk Ewes Meat Goats (two classes)
Eligibility and Age Groups:
The Showmaster® National Livestock Judging Contest is open to everyone, young and old alike. Entrants must be legal residents of the United States and all minors must obtain the consent of parents/guardians prior to registration. Entries are divided into four age groups to keep it fair. Your age group is determined by your age on January 1, 2007. Only one entry is allowed per person and per email address.
The Official Age Groups are:
10 years and under
11-13 years of age
14-18 years of age
19 years and over



How the Contest Works:
To enter the Showmaster® National Livestock Judging Contest, you must register online. Only one registration (entry) per person and email address is allowed. After registering, you will be emailed your user name and password to log on and begin the contest. The contest is hosted by Judging101.com and is FREE!

After logging on, you will be able to study different views of the four animals in each of the 12 livestock classes. All 12 classes must be submitted at the same time and all submissions are final.
The deadline for submissions is midnight, May 15, 2007.
Official placements and reasons for all classes will be posted on the Showmaster® website, once the winners have been notified and confirmed. Final results will be posted on the Showmaster® website, so contestants will be able to see where they placed in the contest.
Showmaster® National Livestock Judging Contest
Official Contest Rules
A registration form must be completed for the entry to be valid.
A valid email address is required to register for the contest.
Only one entry per person and per email address is allowed.
Contestants are on the honor system to participate without outside help and to not share their placements with others until after the contest has closed at midnight on May 15, 2007.
Contestants will be disqualified for any misrepresentation of information or violation of contest rules.
Contest begins April 1, 2007 at midnight (CST) and continues until closing at midnight (CST) on May 15, 2007.
Contestants will compete within the age group entered on the registration form (10 and under, 11-13, 14-18, 19 and over). Age is determined by the contestant’s age on January 1, 2007. Age verification is required for all contest winners.
Official placements by contest judges are final and are not subject to appeal.
In the event of a tie, the tied contestants will be asked to submit a written set of reasons for one of the 12 livestock classes drawn at random by the Contest Manager. The contest judge for that class will evaluate the written reasons and contestants will be notified of the outcome. The judge’s decisions are final.
Official placement and reasons for all classes will be posted on the Showmaster® website once the winners have been notified and confirmed.

Final results for all contestants and age groups will be available on the Showmaster® website.
Contest is open to U.S. legal residents of all ages, however minors must obtain the consent of parents/guardians prior to registration. Contest is void where prohibited. Employees of Cargill, Incorporated, its affiliates and subsidiaries, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) of each such employee, are not eligible. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Participation in the contest constitutes winner’s consent to Sponsor’s use of winners’ name, likeness, statements, biographical information, hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, without further payment or consideration, to the extent allowed by law.
