once a day vs. am/pm

breeding...anybody do once a day and what kind of results? 
appreciate comments/suggestions/advice

We tried it a couple years, conception rates were down 10-15%.  I went to a heatwatch system, and started breeding 24 hours a day.  Makes for some long days and nights, but last year we had a 90% conception rate.  We avg. 75-80 before we started heatwatch and 24 hour breeding.

No she meant breeding once a day verses two times per day. I have no personal experience and all can add to this is that our local ABS rep says that conception falls off only 2% but then ABS wants to sell product so kind of sometimes might have to say what the customer wants to hear or take into account how much work the customer wants to do.

We've exclusively done once a day now for several years.  Conceptions have range from about 65 to a little better than 70% on large groups of cows and second calvers (100 + hd per year).

We use estrus alert patches and start gathering them in the early afternoon.  Everybody with any fully rubbed patches get bred the 1st afternoon.  Everybody else gets bred pm on the second day.

i meant breeding...always done twice a day, and ironically it is an abs rep thats tryin' to convince me to go to once a day...but i dont know...it just makes me nervous...afraid im going to miss them...

I think that if you have a good plan and work the plan well, you'll be fine either way.
