Yellow jacket and troubadour. They work best on them ground sow angus females

Are the troubadors out of purebred Angus stout enough?  Heard they can be little frail with that cross.
Well I was reffering to making females actually. I wouldnt think you would get a powerhouse steer or anything.

I'm coming around on my Troubadors a little.  They look a whole lot better at a month old than they did at a week old. We don't have any out of straight Angus though.  I've got 5 heifers and 1 bull calf.

What i have seen and heard on most of the the troubador calves, and really calves outta any charolais sire for that matter, is that they take a little longer than these clubby bred calves to "come into there own" if you will. many guys think they are going to be the worst set of cavles they have had at one month of age but by weaning that couldnt be happier

I never count a charolais or char x out until after they have been weaned 60 days.  They can really change in a hurry.  If the genetics are there keep a wait and see attitude.
