Sometimes I notice in a lot of the online sales, they say a steer would make a good lightweight at Fort Worth, or Middle Weight, etc.

Since I have never had the pleasure of attending the show in Fort Worth, when they mention lightweight or middle weight, what is the associated weight range.  How does this compare to the Houston Livestock show.  This is helpful for me to get a better idea of the current size of the steer (as they advertise) and expected mature weight based on time of show relative to Fort Worth.

Can somebody provide insight on this.  Thanks!

My son just sold one in San Antoino that was in the low 1200 that was in the first class of limmi if that helps you put it into perspective. But there were only three classes. Some of the breed divisions with higher numbers have different class breaks.
