We are looking at flushing a heet seeker cow to produce some females and thought about one of these two bulls. Wanted to know what they are producing. She is a fairly big framed cow i would say around a 7...also she is a THC and doesnt quite fill her track but is loaaded with bone hair and she is square footed...just wanted to get some ideas..thanks in advance.

I liked the Trademark bull when he sold last spring. I saw him later at Nichols and I still liked him. I intend to use him some after I see some of his calves. Until I see calves, I guess I would use his sire. I like them both.

It seems like the birth weights were pretty high on the Open Bar's in Ohlrichs sale  but I've never used him.

Barb Ohlrichs told me they had not had any problems with birthing, but not to use him on heifers. I will know more in 60 days, as we will have a few. 100# is not too large for mature cows in most cases. I also like the Stand Alone bull owned by Putz. He is an Open Bar from Point Taken's mother. Possibly a little small framed, but a bull to watch.

I know it's not one of those two bulls,.....but the Pale Face females are starting to surface as the dams of several winners.....and she sounds like a Pale Face SPECIAL!

I know it's not one of those two bulls,.....but the Pale Face females are starting to surface as the dams of several winners.....and she sounds like a Pale Face SPECIAL!

Heat Seeker & Pale Face are a very good combonation.

JBH is their sexed semen on pale face and if so how much is it

wra,open bar got as much attention in Denver as what i've seen for a bull that never stood on display.  A steady stream of traffic to the back pens to check him out.  Real massive , unreal hair with extemely soft look and sound.  A bull that brought what he brought in the maine sale honestly, what i know ohrich's didn't see him til shortly before the sale.  Can't believe the females aren't great with ice pick and black impact in there.  I would call wayne or barb ohlrich and get their take on the females.

No.....we never had him done....and he's clear out in Ohio, so I doubt we ever will.....PROBABLY SHOULD though.  He is homozygous black though, so if you're wanting some REDS, he won't work.  He usually throws a high % of baldies on Heat Seekers for some reason.

I've given up on getting any white on the faces of Pale Face calves.  They all come out coal black for me even on cows that are baldies and other that have had nothing but baldies and motley's til bred to him.  Talk about some rotten luck. lol
