I would like some opinions on my Shorthorn bull calf that I have invested in.
I have a pretty thick skin, so you can be brutally honest.
Background: I invested in him as an embryo with hopes of getting a bull calf with this bloodline to work around. He is a TPS Coronet Leader 21st X Shadybrook Presto 73G. I have chosen a path for my operation to go. I am not a show based operation, I am a small operation with hopes to grow more numbers as land comes out of CRP on my place and really want to market to the replacement heifer market and feedlot.
This picture is a week after we came home from IA State Fair. I am not a cattle photographer either-- LOL.
this picture does not do his body length justice.
He is not fed up like a show calf-- just in good growing flesh condition. I don't believe in a lot of feed and weight unless they are going to the locker or packing house.
Thanks in advance to the Steer Planet community for taking time to look.
