it was about IL's momma, when I was asking about him-  How many times do threads get off subject?

Sorry OH- did seem a bit over-board on my response...  after I re-read it!

Justin- I know she has been flushed since having IL- but my concern comes with using a bull, out of an 11 year old cow- who's never been heard of, or created a calf worthy of hearing about.  As Josh has stated she'd had two previous noteworthy calves...  My question concerning her flushing status was to know how many calves she'd had- wether it be 20+, or just the 9 naturally!  And whether or not- they thought of her to be donor status during her lifetime, or until she started over the hill!!

I think that she might have been waiting to be discovered, I don't think that Josh has owned her for most of her life, but maybe I'm wrong.  If you flush a cow to every high profile bull in the breed, you'll get some good ones. I think it speaks pretty well for her that she did such a good job with Sonny; not every cow clicks so perfectly with him (he IS my favorite bull though).

Well I want to apologize for everyone involved in this.  I in no shape or form meant for this to turn into what it has and for that I apologize espicially to Okshorthorns.

kfacres, We bought Ivy Leagues momma when she was 9 at a little breeder in western oklahoma.  Those two calves were out of natural calves that the original owner had raised. We flushed her and then bred her Ivy League was the first calf we had out of her.  We have since had calves out of deerpark leader 13th and theres a pretty good heifer in that group and we also had a full brother to Ivy that was sure pretty good, just was on a crazy and I mean crazy recip.  She doesn't flush real well so she is bred right now, hopeing to get her going again this next summer.  If anyone has any other questions please pm me.  Thanks

Joshua
