Looks to have all the right parts to be competitive.  If it's a hair show a nice fit job would make him look good too or slick he'll be good.  Keep us posted on how he does and good luck!

Being from the cold and snowy north I don't know much about the ways of a slick show, however the steer looks like he cuts up in both his flank and his heart.  If he were mine i would use the next 2 weeks to get him onto a full load of either cottonseed hulls, full tank, or one of the silage-fill in a bag products, if you can get him to fill down the forerib and the flank area you really might have quite a steer, it looks like all of the other parts are already there.  Regardless good luck and have a good time!

I would suggest conditioning the skin, after ya'll have slicked him, with REVIVE and rubbing it in generously over a period of several days before the show...or you may choose to use hair conditioner...MANE & TAIL seems to work just as well...Conditioned skin on slicked calves is often overlooked and can give a great handle to a steer.

Looks really nice, he should slick well!! Post new pictures when he is slicked! I agree with conditioning the skin.
